MAZO
VCMA-0420-R22-M-1A
A3 added MAX current columns; A4 added the voltage column. Read nominal inductance, bias limits, heating limits and mounting drawings separately. The MAX current-column convention remains unresolved.

01 / SOURCE LIBRARY
First collection: four exact power-inductor models. Ratings, drawings, curves, assembly and packaging are indexed with source pages. Unstated or ambiguous specifications stay marked as unknown.

Coilcraft
The suffix identifies tolerance, termination and packaging. The 12.0 A and 16.8 A entries correspond to different temperature-rise conditions, while 18.7 A uses a 30% inductance-drop threshold.
MAZO
The 50 A figure is a typical saturation threshold. The separate heating-current figure is 30 A. A1 uses a 1 MHz inductance test and includes reliability requirements, which are not an MST test report.
Bourns
Use the single-A SRP1038A sheet for this part. Its Isat criterion is 20% inductance drop, and the R36 version is the non-lead-frame construction shown in the drawing.
This model is not in the first collection. Send the exact part number and public datasheet link below for review.
02 / PART COMPARISONS
Interchangeability is not confirmed. Nominal inductance matches, but the heating-current figures, total-temperature limit, operating/rated voltage and recommended lands differ. MAZO’s lower DCR alone cannot establish lower operating temperature or unchanged efficiency. Treat it as a conditional evaluation candidate after resolving the current-column ambiguity.
No interchangeability conclusion follows from those matches. Bourns lists 60 A at 20% inductance reduction; MAZO lists 50 A typical at 30% reduction. MAZO’s separate heating-current figure is 30 A, not 50 A continuous. Recommended pad widths, inductance-test frequency and total-temperature limits also differ.

ASK / ADD EVIDENCE
Include exact part numbers, operating conditions and a public source link where available. A useful test report also states the board, method, conditions and result.
