Before long, Old Donovan said, "Bella, I'm sorry. My useless children were rude to you. They don't deserve to be called uncles and fathers. Grandpa agrees if you want to sever a tie with them."

Bella's face stiffens slowly as she remembers what happened earlier. But she dismisses her anger, not wanting her Grandfather to be sad. 

"It's okay, Grandpa. What they did earlier was nothing compared to the treatment I've got at the Sinclair family's house—" Bella almost choked when she said those names.1
